Terms of Service

By accessing findclaridad.com or booking any Claridad service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. ABOUT CLARIDAD
Claridad is a relationship preparation, enrichment, and ceremony officiation service operated by Lourdes D. Ramon d/b/a Claridad in St. Augustine, Florida. Claridad provides premarital preparation facilitation, relationship enrichment facilitation, and wedding ceremony officiation services. Claridad is not a licensed mental health or counseling practice.
2. SCOPE OF SERVICES
Claridad offers the following services:
The Foundation: premarital preparation facilitation using the FOCCUS Pre-Marriage Inventory
The Tending: relationship enrichment facilitation using the REFOCCUS Marriage Enrichment Inventory
The Ceremony: wedding ceremony officiation for couples in Florida
Extended Support: individual add-on facilitation or check-in sessions for existing Claridad clients
Claridad’s services are not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, or any form of licensed professional service as defined under Florida Statute §491. Claridad does not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical intervention of any kind. If you need licensed mental health support, please seek a qualified licensed professional.
3. BOOKING & PAYMENT
All sessions are booked through findclaridad.com via Acuity Scheduling.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total package fee is due at the time of booking to secure your sessions. The remaining balance is collected in four equal installments according to the payment schedule presented at checkout.
By completing your booking, you authorize Claridad to charge your selected payment method for the deposit and all subsequent installments on their scheduled dates. Missed or failed payments may result in suspension of services until the balance is resolved.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars.
The price shown at the time of booking is the price you pay. Prices are subject to change for future bookings only.
Bundle discounts (preparation + ceremony) are applied at checkout when both services are booked together.
Ceremony services booked outside a 10-mile radius of St. Augustine, Florida may incur additional travel charges, which will be quoted and confirmed in writing prior to booking confirmation.
4. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Preparation Packages (The Foundation / The Tending)
The 20% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. It secures your sessions and covers administrative costs.
Cancellations made before your first session: remaining installments will not be charged; deposit is forfeited.
Cancellations made after your first session has begun: all installments paid to date are non-refundable. Any remaining scheduled installments will be cancelled.
Individual session cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice: session is rescheduled at no charge, subject to availability.
Individual session cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice: the prorated value of that session is forfeited.
No-shows (no cancellation, no contact within 2 hours of session start): session is charged in full against your paid balance.
One complimentary reschedule per package. Additional reschedules are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
Ceremony Services
Cancellations more than 30 days before the ceremony date: 50% of fees paid are refunded; deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations within 30 days of the ceremony date: all fees paid are non-refundable.
Date changes (not cancellations) are accommodated subject to availability and must be requested in writing to hola@findclaridad.com.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
Cancellation requests must be submitted to hola@findclaridad.com. Cancellations are not considered received until submitted to hola@findclaridad.com and confirmed by Claridad via email reply. Cancellation requests submitted through social media, text message, or any channel other than email will not be considered valid.
5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
By booking with Claridad, you agree to:
Provide accurate information at intake and throughout the process.
Attend scheduled sessions or provide timely notice of cancellation per the policy outlined in Section 4.
Complete the FOCCUS or REFOCCUS inventory independently, honestly, and prior to your scheduled facilitation session.
Engage in the facilitation process in good faith. Both partners are expected to participate actively. If one partner is unwilling to engage, Claridad reserves the right to pause or discontinue services without refund of fees paid.
Treat the facilitator with respectful conduct during all interactions. Claridad reserves the right to terminate services immediately in cases of harassment, threats, or abusive behavior, without refund.
Ensure a stable internet connection and private environment for all virtual sessions. Technical difficulties on the client's end do not constitute grounds for a no-show waiver, but may be accommodated at Claridad's discretion with advance notice.
Not record, transcribe, or reproduce any session content without prior written consent from Claridad.
Ensure sessions are attended only by the partnered couple unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.
6. CONFIDENTIALITY
Claridad maintains strict confidentiality of all client information. Session notes, inventory results, and couple report data are not shared with third parties except as necessary to deliver services — including scheduling (Acuity Scheduling), payment processing (Stripe), video conferencing (Zoom), and website hosting (Squarespace). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and do not receive session content or inventory results.
No client information is shared for any other purpose without explicit written consent from both partners, provided via signed agreement or confirmed email authorization to hola@findclaridad.com.
Claridad may use anonymized, de-identified case descriptions for educational or marketing purposes only with explicit written consent from both partners, obtained in advance and in writing.
Claridad may record sessions for internal quality and professional development purposes only. Recording will not occur without advance written consent from both partners. Recordings are retained for no more than 90 days and are never shared with third parties."
7. REFERRALS & SCOPE LIMITS
Claridad provides relationship preparation facilitation — not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment. Claridad is not a licensed mental health provider and does not diagnose, treat, or assess psychological conditions.
If a session surfaces material that, in the facilitator's judgment as a certified FOCCUS facilitator, suggests that licensed therapeutic support would better serve one or both partners, the facilitator will:
Name the concern directly and clearly
Pause or conclude the facilitation session if necessary
Provide a referral to an appropriate licensed professional
If a session surfaces concerns related to safety, domestic violence, or crisis, the facilitator will pause the session and provide appropriate emergency or crisis resources. Claridad is not equipped to manage crisis intervention and does not substitute for emergency services.
Pausing or concluding a session under either circumstance described above is responsible facilitation practice, not a service failure. No refund is owed when a session is paused or concluded for these reasons. Installments paid to date are non-refundable; remaining scheduled installments will be cancelled.
Claridad does not provide legal, financial, immigration, or medical advice. Nothing in our sessions or materials constitutes advice in those areas.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All Claridad original content — including Claridad Reflection Guides, supplement materials, Welcome Packet, website copy, and social media content — is the intellectual property of Lourdes D. Ramon d/b/a Claridad. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any Claridad original content without prior written permission is prohibited.
FOCCUS® and REFOCCUS® are registered trademarks of FOCCUS Inc. USA. Claridad is an independent facilitation practice and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FOCCUS Inc. USA. Use of the FOCCUS and REFOCCUS inventories is conducted under certified facilitator authorization.
9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
Claridad's services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding relationship outcomes, compatibility assessments, or the continuation or success of any marriage or relationship.
Facilitation is a guided preparation process — outcomes depend entirely on each couple's own engagement, honesty, and commitment. Claridad is not responsible for decisions made by either partner before, during, or after the facilitation process.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Claridad's total liability to any client for any claim arising from or related to these services shall not exceed the total amount paid by that client for the services in question. Claridad is not liable for indirect, incidental, emotional, or consequential damages of any kind.
11. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Before initiating any formal proceeding, both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith through direct communication. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes may be submitted to mediation in St. Johns County, Florida before pursuing litigation. Any legal action arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of St. Johns County, Florida.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Claridad reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. When material changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Clients with active bookings will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of Claridad services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
